New Terrain: 21st-Century Landscape Photography at WAM
New Terrain: 21st-Century Landscape Photography, opening this Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 7-9 pm.
New Terrain was developed by Nancy Kathryn Burns, Stoddard Curator of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs at Worcester Art Museum. The reviewing collection explores technology, identity, political activism, and history through concepts of the landscape. The work embraces 21st Century thinking and focuses on complex processes of photography and conceptual art-making.
Slow Art Day, Worcester
For Worcester, this was our sixth Slow Art Day, held on April 16 at The White Room Gallery in Worcester, Massachusetts. The event was hosted by Payal Thiffault and Michelle May of Juniper Rag magazine, who are tow of the founding hosts from the very first Slow Art experiment of 2009. An in-person event was organized and the invitation was also extended to artists, whose work was on exhibition at TORRID | Abstract Impressions.
