PATTI KELLY
Worcester, MASSACHUSETTS, USA
Cover the sadness; cover the fear of the deep night; search for the light. Into the night and changes of the light we ride, searching for something fitting, to continue the journey. Let the water reach out and submerge the extension of the light, then offering it back again, showing the patterns of the sky and their companions. Let this be the portrait of a new mystery. The emptiness cannot define me. The quiet will not dissuade me.
Patti Kelly is an artist with a vibrant and complex core, who uses color and movement in abstraction to effectively and emotively touch her viewers. Sometimes her marks convey metaphorical storms and other times complete serenity. Like a breeze in nature touching the skin, her work intrinsically resonates with the eyes, floating by with an intentional mood and atmosphere you can see with a satisfaction of understanding it.
Patti Kelly is on the faculty of the Worcester Art Museum as well as the Worcester Public Schools and select private schools in Massachusetts. She attended the School of the Worcester Art Museum and holds a Bachelors of Fine Art from Massachusetts College of Art and Masters in Education from Framingham State University.
